all powers to a zero emission future
EVBox is an international developer of electric vehicle charging solutions, with a mission to get the entire world use electric transport, a mission towards zero emissions.
With 600 employees in 13 countries, of which more than 350 in Amsterdam HQ, the company grew rapidly over the past 10 years. This required a different internal approach in terms of how to share knowledge and collaborations. D/DOCK designed a completely new environment in the GoWest building in Amsterdam, where the teams can spread out over 3 floors, and assemble in a variety of spaces, like the collaboration garden. It has become a healthy office with lots of greenery, warm colors, different workplaces and spaces to recharge oneself.
Furnify participated in this project, with the delivery of second life furniture. We delivered 120 Unifor desks (iSatelleti – which is a high end brand). We received them from a well known finance organization, gave them a technical check, and we powder coated the base into black and added a new sustainable top. This top consists of 50% from post consumer wood like recycled wood or pallets, 35% comes from woodwaste from factories and 15% is wood which is inadequate for the industry, like treetops or crooked wood.
The occupation of EVBox-employees is currently almost zero. But first reactions are here to stay: Job Karstens, Head of PR & Event Marketing previously stated: “It will be hard to decide where to spend my time between the many green areas, coffee bars, informal meeting places, phone booths, meditation space and pingpong room…!”
