Under a beautiful
authentic roof

‘Tour & Taxis’ is a large, formerly industrial site in Brussels. This former train station, with its spacious central hall was built in the beginning of the 20th century, and meant for multi transport access; from boats and roads to trains.
The property developer has chosen to create a ‘city quarter’ under one roof, with a balanced combination of workspaces, hospitality and entertainment by the placement of 12 new volumes under the existing and renovated early 20th century frame. On one hand these 12 volumes follow the wider urban context in terms of urban factories, while on the other hand they also take into account the existing dimensions and scale of the historic structure itself.
Our design team enjoyed creating the coworking space for one of these volumes available to the SPACES members. Under the existing roof structure, office boxes were created to utilize the space whilst respecting its best form. The business club is bright, due to the use of light colors and materials in line with the rest of the building, which invites you to work all day long in a comfortable space. As SPACES would say: “Welcome home. Oops, we meant Welcome to work”.
