D/DOCK is a spatial and conceptual design community that aims to develop honest and effective spaces for humans, nature and society. We are a group of 70+ architects, engineers, designers, psychologists, project managers and developers who design for the human scale, from the inside out. Last year we found our new home in the Amsterdam Houthavens where we have transformed an old sawmill into a conscious business community – DB55.
We are hiring an Office Manager
As Office Manager you ensure a warm and professional Front of House experience for everybody in our venue, caring for the DB55 team, our guests and the spaces they use. The Office Manager will be the face of our venue and is a key factor in making sure everybody feels welcome and at home at DB55. In your role as Office Manager not a day will be the same. Of course, there are the daily tasks of making sure everything at the venue runs smoothly, but you also pitch in when there are events in our blended venue.

- Are fluent in English and Dutch
- Live in the Amsterdam area
- Have a driver’s license
What will you do:
Office Management, consisting of a wide diversity of tasks such as:
- welcoming clients
- inventory management of office supplies
- ensuring a nice and clean office space
- being the first point of contact for our cleaning agency
- sending and receiving packages and answering the phone
- organize work/team travel and logistics: Greenwheels, NS Business Cards, flight tickets, hotels, lease agreements, phones etc.
- order groceries
- organize celebratory moments for our team members (create a special moment for birthdays, marriages, anniversaries, graduations etc.)
Support our Venue Manager with daily management and events by:
- coordinating the daily (freshly cooked in our own kitchen) lunch
- organizing and preparing (Friday) drinks at the office and other (team) events
- attend, host and support in the organization of external events at our venue
We offer:
- A contract for 32/40 hours, starting as soon as possible
