We won the competition for the expansion and internal redesign of an existing school in Zaandam. The project aimed to combine two schools within the same building, requiring additional usable space. We proposed partially covering the semi-patio at the entrance with a glass volume and creating a new entrance block in the right wing of the complex.
The client also wanted to rethink the interior design and layout to provide more flexibility and enhance the school’s educational potential. To achieve this, we applied our new manual for Learning Communities in the design.
