In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The Middle East Hospital is a campus with a general hospital, staff accommodation, a cardiac rehabilitation centre, and training facilities. Housing nearly 200 inpatient rooms, from general wards to VIP suites with family areas and private patios, the design follows our Healing Environments approach, envisioning a green oasis in the desert. Patios along main corridors and within wards bring daylight and create inviting waiting areas. The project was developed with Philips Healthcare and Dutch Health Architects (DHA), a joint venture between EGM architects and Gortemaker Algra Feenstra.
