For the Tianfu Hilton Hotel in Chengdu, we envisioned a design that immerses guests in the rhythm of the Shi-jing, an ancient microcosm alive with tradition, ritual, and craft. Spanning 54,000 square metres, the concept blends informal enterprise with leisure, creating a fluid space where community, culture, and comfort meet.
More than a hotel, Tianfu Hilton serves as a community hub, a place to relax, explore, and connect. Drawing on authentic Szechuan rituals, materials, and cuisine, the design offers a sensory journey through texture, scent, sound, and story. From tranquil stone courtyards to vibrant street scenes, each space evokes the spirit of Sichuan, guiding guests along a captivating path of discovery.
