We transformed the interior of Zandkasteel, working closely with Max van Huut, responsible for the original design completed in 1986 and declared a heritage site in 2017.

Our approach incorporates loose, flexible elements with high standards of sustainability while respecting the building’s original organic character. Guided by the concept of ‘Internal City,’ we created lively inner streets, squares, and parks, prioritising the comfort and wellbeing of its diverse inhabitants.

A blended-use approach contributes to its semi-public character. This inclusivity extends to various activities, from art exhibitions to sports and cultural gatherings.
