Drive circular and local production

Circa Amsterdam is a circular event venue in the Netherlands, with space for groups of 200 to 2,000 people. Its iconic geodetic dome was designed by the legendary Richard Buckminster Fuller and unveiled at the 1967 Montreal World Expo.

The domed roof follows circular design principles as it is composed entirely of recycled aluminium, creating a futuristic feel through its interplay with light.

With a wink to its history, our in-house partner Furnufy designed the interior only with reused loose furniture, carpets, and lighting. Circa uses an impressive 86% of second life furniture.

The ‘Moving Islands’, designed in collaboration with Makers of Sustainable Spaces, bring playful adaptability to the ground floor. Made from leftover materials, equipped with plants, and built on wheels, this circular interior solution enables Circa to adapt the space to the specific spatial needs of its users.
