Drive circular and local production

Circa Amsterdam is a circular event venue in the Netherlands, accommodating groups of 200 to 2,000 people. Its iconic geodesic dome, designed by the legendary Richard Buckminster Fuller, was unveiled at the 1967 Montreal World Expo.

The domed roof adheres to circular design principles, being composed entirely of recycled aluminium. This creates a futuristic feel through its dynamic interplay with light.

With a nod to its history, D/DOCK designed the interior using only reused furniture, carpets, and lighting. Circa boasts an impressive 86% of second-life furniture.

The Moving Islands, designed in collaboration with Makers of Sustainable Spaces, introduce playful adaptability to the ground floor. Constructed from leftover materials, equipped with plants, and built on wheels, this circular interior solution allows Circa to adapt the space to meet the specific needs of its users.
